Graham County was formed January 30, 1872, from the northeastern part of Cherokee County. It was named for William A. Graham, United States Senator from North Carolina (1840-1843) and Governor of North Carolina (1845-1849).
Before you begin creating a zone, it is often helpful to go back and hide all of the current points/zones on the map except for any that are related to the zone you will be adding.
In addition, make sure the section of the map where you would like your zone to appear is visible on the map. Click and drag to pan and use the zoom control on the left size of the map to zoom in or out until the section of the map where you would like your zone to appear is visible, then click the "Continue" button below to go to the next step.
Click on the map at the point you wish to start drawing your zone. Continue to click on each location that defines a corner point (vertex) of your zone. In order for your zone to be drawn properly, please click on locations in a clockwise direction. If you click on the wrong location, you can click on the "Undo" button to erase the last location clicked.
Click on the "Options" button to change the stroke and fill options for your zone.
When you have finished creating your zone, click the "Done" button to finish saving your zone to your PointsMap.
Click-and-drag on any corner point (vertex) of the zone to move that vertex. Click on the map to add another vertex. If you click on the wrong location, you can click on the "Undo" button to erase the last location clicked.
Click on the "Options" button to change the stroke and fill options for your zone.
When you have finished editing the zone, click the "Done" button to save your changes.

Use the sliders and color pickers below to change the appearance of the outline and fill of your zone. When you have finish setting your options, click on the "Continue" button to return to drawing your zone.
